Verisign who are in charge of the .com top level domain & registry, have announced a price hike on the 1st of September 2021 for all .com domains.
It's the first year Verisign has been able to increase prices for .com domain names under new agreements it struck with the U.S. government and ICANN.

If you wish to renew before September, you can still avail of the lower price, so don't delay and renew your .com domain for up to 9 years before 01/09/2021 to avoid the price hike.
